PRIZES:

1.If the China Competition has a minimum of 3 to 9 participating couples, the prize is $500 for the winning couple.

2.If the China Competition has 10 to 15 registered couples, the prize is $1000 for the winning couple.

3.If the China Competition has 16 or more couples, the prize is: A TRIP TO COMPETE IN B.A.

A.2 flights to Buenos Aires from China.
B. 4 nights accommodation in Buenos Aires.
C. A place to compete in the semifinal of PV in December 2018

 

RULES:

1.Pelando Variación is a competition devised and first organized in 2015 by Olivier Kolker. The idea is for the performing couple to compete in dancing only the variación of the song, instead of the entire song.

 

2.In detail, the rules are the following:

– Open Competition for PROFESSIONAL and NON-PROFESSIONAL dance couples.
– The competition will consist of ONLY ONE VARIACION
– As  part of the registration, the participating couple must SEND, the MUSIC  of the tango they intend to perform during the Competition. Or select from PV China variacion list below then fill the  music number and name in during the registration. Only tangos  with Variacions at the end will be considered.  That selection will  then be evaluated and subject to approval by the Organizing Committee.   Once the tango is approved, the participant will receive the VARIACION READY TO COMPETE. No changes will be allowed.
– During the Competition, the couple may modify the CHOREOGRAPHY, but not the MUSIC.
– The  contestants will perform only the variacion of the tango they choose.  The minimum duration of such performance consists of two eights  (measures of musical time) until the end of the song. The performance  ends with the ending of the variacion.
– The music for the performance will begin a maximum of 12 seconds prior to the Variation.
– The  length of the chosen Variación will not be taken into account by the  judges,  as long as it is a minimum of two eights measures of musical  time.
– No elements (i.e.handkerchiefs, umbrellas, etc.) are allowed during the Variación part of the performance.
– If a couple passes into the next round, semifinal or final, there will not be any replacements of either dancer.

 

3.JUDGES

The judges will be composed of professional and highly-esteemed Tango couples.
The judges will be considering the following when making their decision:

1) Precision
2) Elegance of Movement
3) Musicality
4) Originality
5) Difficulty

 

4.The maximum score a couple can get are 50 points, 10 for each concept and the minimum are 5 points.

 

5.THE FINAL SCORE ​

In each round, the scores of the JUDGES will decide the WINNING couples for each round.

 

6.TIE-BREAKER

In the case of a tie in the Judges’ votes, the criteria would be to allow those couples to perform for a second time

3.Participants have two options for variacion tangos. A. optional：Send the audio file of the song you have selected for your choreographed variation. Once we receive the song, our team edits it and sends you the variation, ready to compete. B. select from PV China Variacion list below then fill the  music number and name in during the registration.

2.REGISTRATION FEES

· Early price(before 6/30) 100$/couple.  After 7/1 150$/couple

– All participants can get half price of workshop and milonga during the festival.

REGISTRATION IS NOT COMPLETE UNTIL ALL 3 STEPS ARE DONE.

比赛規則：
1. 阿根廷探戈Pelando Variacion世界锦标赛，简称 PV大赛 ，是阿根廷探戈有史以来第一个以探戈音乐中最终变奏部分作为主题的世界大赛，2015年由Olivier Kolker首次举办。变奏（Variacion）是一首探戈舞曲里最高潮的部分，表演者在这短短的十几二十秒音乐中使出浑身解术，展现完美的技巧和音乐性。

 

2. 比赛细节介绍：

– 比赛对专业及非专业舞者开放
– 比赛仅由一个变奏组成
– 音乐作为注册申请的一部分，参赛者可自选曲目，并发送给主办单位进行审核批准，音乐变奏部分必须出现在结尾。或从PV 曲库中挑选，报名的时候填写曲目编号和曲目。一旦批准通过，参赛者将收到“准备变奏比赛”，已选曲目将不再允许更改。
– 比赛中，参赛者可以进行编舞修改，但不能改变音乐
– 选手只能表演所选曲目的变奏部分，表演开始到结尾至少有2个八拍的变奏组成（根据音乐计算时间），结尾以变奏结束表演。
– 表演音乐开始最多有12秒时间进入变奏
– 所选曲目的变奏长度将不被算作评分项，最少两个八拍的音乐长度。
– 不可加入其他装饰元素（如：手巾，雨伞等）在表演的变奏部分。
– 如果选手进入到下一轮比赛、半决赛或决赛，将不被允许替换舞伴。

 

3. 评委组
– 评委们将由专业舞者和具有很高声望的探戈舞者组成。
– 评委需要考虑以下几点作出决定：

1）精准度
2）动作优雅度
3）音乐性
4）原创性
5）难度系数

 

4. 参赛者最高可得50分，最低5分，以上5点满分各10分。

 

5. 最终分数，将由每轮比赛的得分情况进行决定

 

6. 附加赛：如果评委投票产生相同分数，准则为允许参赛者进行第二次表演。
